Hasn’t it been wonderful!?!?!? I feel like just standing outside…just to be there!

I am SO JEALOUS! It’s miserable hot here and we have big time humidity, which of course we don’t normally have in the desert.

I really like that striped top. I have about 4 waiting for cooler weather.

I just want to say that you mentioned in a previous post that you’re having to take your skirts to the tailor because your running program has caused you to lose inches in the waist. I can tell that your legs have slimmed down too. Not that you ever had thunder thighs or anything like that, but overall, you look like you’re toning up. Hope you are getting as much mentally and emotionally out of your running too.

Susan! I JUST bought a Land’s End sailor tee for fall and I like yours a whole lot better! Is that a recent/current J.Crew item? The Land’s End one is boxy, and a heavy fabric. Although it’s comfy and looks cute somehow (boxy? but cute? really.), but yours is better! But I swear I could not find another one anywhere (online, that is).

I see your camera tripod has arrived! I like these photos, and your shirt in the second!

That’s just mean- to be in cute tops and jeans when it is still a million degrees here. You look cute, but you’re really mean, who knew?!

Very nice! I have to say, I kind of miss the mirror shots though…

I’m gonna need the name of those jeans tout suite, lady. I’ve avoided the striped long sleeved t, but after this 15:30 thing I think it may need to show up.

Susan,

Just wanted to thank you for the kick in my butt to clean out my closet. Two giant leaf bags are on their way to Salvation Army, all my “lose ten to fifteen pounds and these will fit” clothes are in a sterilite storage bin awaiting that happy day, and only clothes I can wear now and that don’t look like they belong on a hobo are hanging in my closet and filling my drawers. Yes, I had to throw clothes away because even homeless people would be ashamed to wear them. They have pride, whereas I am only rediscovering mine.

I really thought I’d have to go shopping, but it turns out the only gigantic hole in my wardrobe is summer shirts and pants. As we’re moving into fall and my rigorous fitness routine is finally in place (6 weeks and going strong!), I’m waiting until spring with a hopeful heart that fashions will suit my classic style a bit better in the coming year and I’ll be back in size 6. If so, I’ll only need to buy shirts, because I have 6 pairs of fun crop pants in that sterilite container.

So thank you. I couldn’t have done it without you.
