entirely true, but exaggerated for comic effect
putting it all together: shoes, glorious shoes!

-1

I wore heels to brunch on Sunday, a pair of ankle-strap peep toes that I swiped from Rita, who inherited them from her friend Susan in Tulsa. They’re the perfect shade of brown and are incredibly comfortable.

I’m thinking I need to wear heels more often. Particularly those heels.

For the rest of the weekend, I wore flip flops and running shoes, because except for the half hour I spent running each day, we passed virtually the entire weekend at the pool. Apparently that’s how the rest of my summer is going to go. I’m good with that, honestly.

I love shoes; they’re an easy way to dress up even the most casual pieces, and no matter how fat you’re feeling, they always fit. But I won’t trade comfort for cute; I want it all. In my 20s, I wore uncomfortable shoes because they were pretty; in my 30s, I wore ugly shoes because they were comfortable. Now, I’m only buying shoes that are both comfortable and pretty. It makes getting dressed easier and more fun.

What are your absolute favorite shoes? Why?

Absolute favorite shoes? That’s a tough one. I love my Seychelles sandals so much that I bought in both brown and black and think they are the perfect summer sandal. I love my cowboy boots because they are alarmingly comfortable and perfect for ranch weekends. I have a TON of heels and wear them almost every day. So much so that when I wore flats to work the other day, my husband remarked that I looked “shorter.”

it’s so hard to narrow down to one pair of shoe! i love my silver flip flops because they go with everything and i about live in them during the summer. for winter, i live in my calf high tan boots (the steve madden ones that EVERYONE has). of course my NEW favorite shoes might be these ultra comfy wedges i picked up from the gap outlet store - i love them so.

Such a difficult question to answer! I have some Steve Madden sandals that are so comfy and go with everything for the summer. In the winter I wear boots (very cold and very deep snow in nothern Iowa). I usually stick with my Uggs which are a cute style and oh-so fashionable! :)

Wow! This is a really difficult question! Shoes are my solution to a bad day. Thankfully, my husband and I have an understanding when it comes to shoe shopping! :-)

I would have to say my favorite pair of shoes are my plum colored Kenneth Cole pumps. They are super comfortable, yet stylish. I work in the legal field and have to dress relatively conservative, but these allow me to keep a little quirkiness in my business attire.

Only one pair of absolute favorites? I’ll have to go with my black Jessica Simpson ballet flats. They go with just about everything that goes with black–skirts, dresses, capris, dress pants, jeans…probably not shorts though. And they add just the right amount of girliness and sophistication. A truly versatile shoe.

But I also love my black Old Navy flip flops and my black Vera Wang calf length boots with the little bow on the back and the little black open-toed heels. I like black shoes. Whatever.

Anything really high works for me!
