I love handbags; they always fit, even on days when nothing else does, and they can completely change your look. And the right bag can be both beautiful and utilitarian, which is hard to say about a lot of accessories.

These days, I’m head over heels for Ellington’s line of handbags and totes, especially the Amelia Convertible Tote/Pack. How awesome would this bag be for summer travel — with or without kids?

The Amelia is essentially three bags in one; it’s a crossbody and a back pack and a shoulder bag. It makes a great laptop bag and would be a really lovely alternative to the standard fugly diaper bag.

The Amelia is made of lightweight nylon, which can be easily wiped clean — a plus if you’re going to use it to haul kid stuff or take it with you on the road. And it comes in seven colors, including a cheery apple green that makes me smile.

I was just on vacation and this bag would have been perfect. I have cross body bag that’s the right size for my stuff. However, when does a mom only carry HER stuff. Husband says please carry my keys and wallet. Son says please carry my nintendo, baseball, frog…whatever! You know the drill.

what a cute alternative to a diaper bag - and I love that it can be converted to a backpack to be hands-free!

My fav colors are the green and gray.

This summer I would be packing water, snacks, diapers, sunscreen, goggles, swim caps, silly bandz (ugh) and this pair of tongs that have mickey mouse hands on the end that my 2 year old will not part with no matter where or when or how or why.

Wow! It’s got lots of pockets, which gets me every time, as does the convertibility. As to what I’ll be toting….your guess is as good as mine. I looked in my bag yesterday and in addition to the normal stuff (wallet, pens, etc.) was a box of raisins, a set of knitting needles, an invitation to my 20th year high school reunion, and an empty prescription bottle. Sigh. Perhaps I need a personal organizer more than I need a purple or green bag.

I like the burgundy! I’ll be toting our whole house because we’re moving this summer! Hope it fits

Brown or purple. I think I’m a shoe in for this, for you know, obvious reasons.

Hmm…pick a colour…so hard…the green or the burgundy…I will be using it to take all our worldly belongings to the beach…because we are moving to a house with a beach…I’m still freaking out about it.

The blue is a perfect color to represent water, swimming, beach - which is what I’d use it for.

I love the blue and the green - and it would probably be easier to list what I wouldn’t haul around in it…

But I’ll give a little taste…

camera, laptop, wallet, action figures, legos, sunscreen, water, bug spray, rocks, sticks…

ooh, cool bag! I like purple the best, I think. Tho burgundy is a second.
What would be in mine? Diapers, wipes, sippy cups, sunscreen, bug spray, snacks for them, a power bar for me, water, books (for me and them), maybe my iPod, a stash of candy for bribing, perhaps a flask (you never know!) extra underwear (not for me!) one of those magnetic write-on boards, a little first-aid kit, and probably whatever random toy(s) they can’t live without, carry out of the house, then lose interest in.

I would take the yellow. I would fill it with notebooks and pens and tote it to my summer courses every day this summer.

Maybe it won’t make college in the summer look so gloomy.

The brown is so nice a zingy cinnamony. I’m going to go for that with the purple eggplant in second place.

I like the yellow one. I think I’d use use it as a briefcase/purse combo.

What a great bag! I’d probably choose the purple or the blue bag in which to tote a change of clothes for my newly potty-trained daughter, a notebook, a pen, hand sanitizer, snacks, water, crayons and paper for both kids, phone, wallet, sunscreen, and plenty of crumpled receipts.

I would love the purple, no, wait, the blue….no I love the brown…oh ! the yellow is sunny…..

I love the grey! I’d like to say that I’d be putting a new ipad in it…but sadly I don’t have one. Or filling it with fresh produce on our visits each week to the farmers market. But sadly….mostly it will be filled with Chick Hicks, Lightning McQueen and Mr. the King. My entire day revolves around these three. This bag is big enough that maybe I could still fit my wallet and keys in along side the cast of Cars

I’d take the blue since it is so pretty. I’ll be leaving on a two week trip to 4 states soon and this bag would be handy to hold EVERYTHING! I might have to buy one if I don’t win.

love the yellow, which would definitely be filled with animal crackers, juice boxes, sunscreen & towels as we head to our local splash park this summer!

I would have to say either the black or brown. I have two children and am always toting around tons of their things. Often I will ask my husband to help out by carrying my purse for me–which he hates! I think he would be more easily convinced to carry around this one for me!

Green. This bag would be perfect for our picnic outings. With a 2 year old, we are constantly on the move and it would be great to have a bag that did it all.

I am such a sucker for a new bag, and this one is great! I love the purple, although the blue is mighty attractive also. This would make a great weekend purse, since I usually end up carrying everyone’s everything with me - water bottles, spare sunglasses, books, toys, sticks, rocks, free stickers from the grocery store.

Green or purple. When I most recently cleaned out my purse, this is what I found:
princess bandaids (new and used), crayons, R2D2, sillybands, A&D (I think it’s been in there since winter chapped lips), tampons that got wet with spilled coffee and are no longer usable, numerous receipts for coffee, coffee, coffee, girls underwear (clean, I hope), modeling clay, swim goggles, sunscreen, three pairs of sunglasses (all mine), stain wipes, and 13 lipsticks (yes, really). So, I think I need a bigger bag.

Oh boy do I want this bag! I love the teal color that you have shown. I also like the pale gray. My family jokingly calls me the “bag lady” because I love purses and bags so much. And you’re right - they fit no matter what The Juno bag on Ellington’s site is pretty cool too, but a bit smaller.

I think I would probably pick it in blue, but that purple sure looks nice as well. So I guess I’d probably flip a coin.

Oh my, that is a fabulous bag! I love it in the blue or the green!! So, I would be using it to tote my wallet, keys, and iPhone, sunglasses, beach blanket and a book from the library - if Im lucky, because my five year old son would need to add his iPod Touch and headphones, his sunglasses, his Buzz lightyear action figure, some legos, crayons and a coloring book, approximately 37 snacks, and a water bottle….for a trip to the playground at the park. If Im lucky, I will be able to leave Buzz at home and slip in a bottle of wine….and a straw.

I love the burgundy or blue! They would go so nicely on our trip to Colorado for vacation.

I love bags, I’d be willing to part with some of mine if got this one. Blue is my first choice but the gray is very close behind it. I would carry diapers,wipes, our must have burprags, snacks, a few small toys. I would also dump it put just my stuff in for my mother/daughter trip with my mom for my birthday. I love this bag!

In October, I’m taking my mom to NYC for her 60th birthday; I would choose the same color you have displayed here and give it to my mom to use as her carry on! If I were picking for myself, it would be the gray, most certainly. But: Mom wears and loves that color blue. I’d tote all the things one needs for a fun NYC trip: walking shoes to switch into and out of, iPhone, book, mags, makeup, scarf, money!

Oh purple or gray. Those are pretty one of the 2 colors I’m always wearing these days. I love any bad that can be hands free so being converatbile from crozz body to a back pack woudl be awesome. I’d love to have one of these.

I love the apple green and of course would be filling it with all sorts of elegant and glamorous items. The green would match the colour of my son’s epipen and bottle of benadryl. It would also carry diapers, wipes, a variety of snacks, my empty wallet, my scratched sunglasses, a book, probably a Nintendo DS or two, my cell phone, and some great lip plumping gloss I bought that fails to plump but is a nice colour. It would be a great bag for the park, the beach, and the endless number of soccer games I will be attending.

i’m digging the burgundy (in the absence of one in orange…). i’d be using it for my laptop, camera and knitting, which are with me pretty much all the time!

On a typical Thursday, I carry the following things home from work/daycare (on a bike!):

my lunch bag
pump stuffand milk for baby
older child’s lunch box
older child
baby
CSA box full of fresh, local veggies
paperwork for working from home at night
extra clothes for children
the normal: keys, sunglasses, wallet, some lego’s and a pack of crayons

it’s getting a bit much! (love the burgundy!)

I love the blue, green, or yellow and would love to tote sunscreen, wipes, and my wallet and keys for an adventure with my three kids!

I would love the brown, it would match my Birkenstocks. I could so use this bag. I have three boys, the youngest just toilet trained so we are still carrying around spare underwear and plastic bags. My oldest is 10, and is the same age as the bag I’m currently using!

The burgundy one makes me smile. We travel a lot, and that would be the perfect bag for the camera, both Kindles, the netbook and all the other stuff you have to take. Love the look of those bags!!!

I really like purple. I would use this on my bike. I have been riding my bike to work and I have to carry files and my lunch with me. The convertible aspect of this would work perfectly.

I would LOVE this bag in the blue! It’s so bright and cheery and it would be perfect for all that “kid stuff” I tote around in the summer!!!

Normally I would choose Orange (of course), since no orange…the Blue reminds me of a little blue box and great things come in little blue boxes. So, blue-definitely.

I would tote around a picnic lunch for my little family of four. This picnic lunch would include some sandwiches, homemade cookies, fruit, and a bottle of lemonade.

I would probably toss in our bathing suits, some suncreen and hats (I have red headed kiddos doncha know?!) so that while we were out on our picnic we saw a lake or stream we could quickly jump in if need be!

The day would be sunny and warm. We would find a big, quiet, empty, grassy meadow and I think this bag would be a lovely addition to my little day dream!

Purple!
Between my two kids we are at the ball fields Monday - Thursday every week this summer. I would love to have a bag that I can just keep packed in my van…first aid kit, snacks, sunscreen, baseball caps, gloves, etc.

This summer we’re spending fun days at the pool and a few trips to the beach w/family/friends. I’d take this with me to pack lunch, snacks and other fun things!!!!

If I was being practical, I’d say the black–it would be good to have a bag I could use as a backpack for toting my laptop to lawschool and then convert to a shoulder bag when I need to look like a lawyer. But I really like the burgundy.

Hmm…I like either the burgundy or the brown. I might use this to combine my purse with the diaper bag, so that I would only have one bag. Or for all the stuff we take every time we go outside - sunscreen, water bottles, bubbles, etc. etc. It looks like it could hold a lot of stuff comfortably!

Love the blue! Love it, that is my favorite color. And with what would I load it? Weeeelllll…my two ton wallet that I haven’t cleaned out since God knows when, my OTHER wallet that is reserved for receipts (yes, I have issues), my lip gloss, my 4 different sets of keys that I am constantly losing, my sunglasses, my son’s sunglasses, my other son’s sunglasses, Thomas the Train, some random rocks that my boys like to keep forever, and I of course indulge them, and my random assortment of papers that are too important not to keep with me. Yes. That sounds about right.

I’m a handbag addict, and I have an new baby too…this would be handy. I really the the burgundy, but to appease my husband (a SAHD) I’d probably go for blue…

Well my friends and I are talking about a fall trip to Paris-and I think the burgandy bag would be the perfect bag to join us!

I like the blue. This looks like a great bag for me because I can tote a few necessities for myself and some toys and snacks for my 18-month-old son, and the easy-to-clean aspect is a must! I also love that it can double as a laptop bag when I travel.

I think I like the purple (but it doesn’t look really purple on my screen — it’s probably my computer). In particular, I like that little green/yellow trim on the purple bag.

I would love this bag in any of the colors, but especially the green! Pretty! I need a new diaper/kid bag. I bought the Land’s End diaper backpack when our baby was born (now 8 months old) and I hate it. I bought it b/c my sister has one, but hers is an old style that they don’t make anymore. Mine looks ok, but it is deep and narrow, and hard to use. Would LOVE a new bag!

I went back & forth between the colors, but I think I would want blue, simply because then dh might carry it around too.

This summer we have lots going on, trips to the baseball field, trips to the soccer field, the pool, hiking trails and to local parks. We’ll be going on vacation soon too - some camping and other fun stuff in the Grand Canyon and 4 Corners area. This bag would be perfect! I always have snacks, my camera, sunscreen, lip gloss, my wallet and sunglasses, iPod’s and phones and water bottles. Obviously I could fill it with useful stuff! It’s so versatile…

I love it! Love all the pockets and how adaptable it is. I’ll be toting baby stuff on an airplane several times this summer, and this looks like the perfect cross between diaper bag and carry-on. I would pick the purple color…

What would I carry? What *wouldn’t* I carry?? Since I’m taking a break from grad school this summer, I’ve been spending a lot of time reading things non-academic, which means I’m constantly schlepping library books to and from work. I’m also forging full steam ahead on the genealogy research I can’t do while enrolled in the aforementioned grad school, so on any given day, I have my laptop and several file folders of research. In fact, I’m planning a trip down to central Ohio later this summer to interview some relatives, so add in my iPod (with recorder) and backup flash drives… along with bottled water and snacks while we’re out searching cemeteries for family gravestones.

Like I said, what wouldn’t I carry in it?? In purple, of course!

I’m a blue gal and would put this to use toting… well, the possibilities are endless. Most likely a book and my itouch would be in there, but then there could be any combination of things the kids forgot to return to the library, need for camp or a day at the beach. Primarily, though I’d look forward to using it in September. I’m a teacher and tend to go through a bag each year lugging books, manuals, papers, and whatever I need for the day’s science experiments.

I love the Burgundy. I’m loving the versitility of this bag! I have so many bags/totes in my closet that I can’t imagine the number. I’m always looking for a better way to organize and I just love all the pockets this bag has! I suspect I’d be toting my daughters “must haves” at the moment including her own teeny tiny purse, sippy cup, pacifier, blankie as well as my own bottle of water, wallet, handi-wipes and note pad.

I think the purple. Cute and useful looking bag. I’d bring all the things to the pool that I don’t want to get mixed up with the giant towels. And plane travel, perfect for laptop, book, snacks and purse stuff.

This would be so perfect for our summer-of-amusement-parks! It looks much more comfortable than our current clunky backpack. I would have a hard time choosing between purple and gray.

I think one of these would be perfect on my trip to Houston. It’s pretty accessible and I love that the inside is a light color so you can see all of your stuff. I think I’d go with either the blue or the green because that’d be different from what I usually get…dare I say it, out of my comfort zone. So please pick me and help me step out of my comfort zone.

I would have to choose the dark grey because I would make my husband carry it.
I would carry lots of duck tape to tape my children’s mouths gently closed. Is it big enough to stuff a surly 9 year old into it? Hmmmm? Ok, seriously now, diet coke (caffeine my drug of choice), towels, sunscreen, oh this is boring. Wine coolers, playing cards and lots of credit cards.

I am definitely feeling the purple! What a fab bag! I love the many pockets and wearability factor. I can envision myself carrying numerous must-have items…most of them related to my almost 3 year old’s “needs”: pack of goldfish (crackers not fish :)),Buzz and Woody figures, Hotwheels cars, fave book of the moment (Skippy John Jones), sunscreen, wipes, and the like. I would carry it EVERYWHERE we go during the summer. The library (great book bag), the pool, the zoo, the mall, etc.

I’m in love with all things brown right now. I would use it to carry snacks and my camera at the baseball field. Where I will be living for the rest of the season. Or at least, so it seems.

I’m a college student doing summer school and I desperately need a new school bag that isn’t fugly like the typical backpack! The purple colour is terrific.

The blue is color that I’d pick. This bag looks perfect for hauling all the stuff everyone “needs” when we head off for the beach.

Love the green and the purple…..this would make a perfect diaper bag for my sister-in-law who is expecting twins!

Purple! I am ready to get rid of the diaper bag/backpack and move on to something lighter and more fun. I’d be carrying the typical extra diapers, wipes, hand cleaner, etc., plus sunscreen, extra outfit for toddler so he can play in the fountain downtown without having to come home wet, and his water shoes!

Confused as I didn’t see the same color options - for now probably go with brown - boyish enough to use as a diaper bag.

I really like this bag and had ordered it as soon as it became available. I am returning it though because the blue color depicted is anything but. It is completely different: a very dark teal! Not this nice-looking, friendly bright blue shown… I am still stunned at the color difference.

How cool! I love that this bag converts to a backpack. Perfect for the summer and outings to everywhere. I would carry the usual wallet chapstick, sunscreen, probably water on occasion & a variety of other things that get thrown in my bag from all members of the household! I love the purple.

My favorite color is the purple.

I think it would be perfect for carrying my laptop and various baby related essentials for a day at the park. Diapers, spare clothes, spare shoes for the toddler, books for the boy, snacks for everyone. You know, the basics.

Love the bag too!! I would take it on my trip to Alaska with the family. It would look great as a purse as we are in the “big” cities in Alaska, and do fine as a backpack on a mile hike with the kids. Without having to lug a purse and small daypack too. Love it!!

Definitely black, because that’s my favorite, and it matches everything! I’d stock this bag with my boys’ piano books (twice a week, they learn to play), a library book (I’m actually reading this summer!), probably some snacks for kids and me, and the usual brush, chapstick, wallet and car keys for days it doubles as a purse!

I would rock the blue! My kids are almost old enough that I could ditch the backpack/diaper bag. This is stylish and useful, and I’m loving how easy it is to clean. There are a lot of silly putty incidents in my bag, but it’s such a great restaurant toy! We’re about to home for a few weeks and this would be the perfect airport traveling bag! Fingers crossed! I love the burgundy color!

I love that blue!
I’d love to say that this summer I’ll be carrying around poopy diapers and drool-stained onesies, but in truth I’d probably lug around my digital thermometer, ovulation kit and last glass of champagne. Though, I feel like I could easily transition with this bag!

The yellow is speaking to me. I’d carry the usual fare: towel, sunscreen, sunglasses, my ipod and plenty of snacks. I love that it converts to a backpack.

I love the purple. Black would be more practical though.

What a great bag! Not a diaper bag, but would still carry all the misc. junk I need for my two pre-K’s. I love the purple myself.

I like the chocolate brown. It looks like a great tote for library books… my boys can’t get enough of the summer reading program!

I’ll be toting snacks, bandaids and Purell; no one’s hungry, bleeding or germy. (Burgundy, please!)

I’ll be toting a sippy cup, SPF 30, Gerber Graduates Lil Crunchies,keys, wallet, baby wipes, lip gloss, digital camera, gum, bottle of water, coupons…can you see why I NEED this bag?

And LOVE it in green!

Oooh, I love that blue. I’d use it as a diaper bag — we cloth diaper, and cloth is fluffier than disposable, so it takes a roomy bag. This looks PERFECT.

I would choose the brown bag and it would be fabulous to have it along this summer to Phoenix for just about everything…passport, keys, maps, sunscreen, cell phones, snacks, you name it, it looks like it will fit! Perfect as a carry on as well, which would be great since US Air charges for luggage, ha ha!

Green, please. And I will carry my usual assortment of gadgets and chargers and cords and cameras and etc. in it, along with maybe a bottle of wine because you never know when you’re going to need one of those.

I adore the green! I’m childless but a teacher with endless amounts of things to haul around at school and on field trips. This would fit the bill perfectly!

purple bag - will be toting around baby gear, lip gloss, sun block, snacks, and lots of random things.

I love the burgundy one! I would totally use this as a carry-on for some weekend trips I have coming up — visit to my best friend, out of town for a bachelorette party, etc.

Oh, I’d be wild and daring by going with the black. ahem.

This would replace the free ‘infant formula company’ diaper bag I’ve been using, hence it would be toting sundry lil kid goods.

Hmmm can’t decide between the purple or the gray; both are gorgeous. I’d be toting (as I usually do) my entire life (laptop, iphone, books, wallet, gym clothes, lunches, and a million other random things) so this bag looks perfect!!

I am torn between the blue and the black. This is a fantasic looking bag! I would be toting books, dog treats, maybe some beer or wine, sunscreen, phone, ipod, wallet, lunches, and whatever else my heart desires. You just never know what you are going to need on the road or at puppy play dates [that is where the beer or wine comes in]!

I love the blue. I would tote around my pool stuff for about one day before one of my daughters would “borrow” the bag. Then I would never get to use it again! Cute!

I would love a black one. I would carry my sunglasses, a book, probably some diapers and wipes (if we’re being realistic) my cellphone, wallet, and some lipgloss.

I’d love the blue or the green…. that bag will be perfect for my upcoming international flight with a 1 year old (help me please, I must be crazy!)

Burgandy! My burgandy tote bit the dust recently and this would be the perfect replacement!
