Henry: They will suck all your blood before you can say centimeter.

Charlie: No, no, they’ll suck all your blood before you can say ANYTHING.

Wade: What are you guys talking about?

Henry: Bloodsuckers.

Charlie: Of COURSE.

I want to thank each and every one of you who has commented on this post or emailed me or reached out in any way — I can’t tell you how much I appreciate it. I was trying to make one point — that being “famous” is a big fake, that if you want to make money at this blogging gig you had best be prepared to work and work and work — but I think you all made another better point: real success isn’t measured in numbers or dollars, but in the kindness of people who know you only through your words and who will wrap you in a big fuzzy virtual hug when you are braless and weeping.

That is the best kind of success, and I thank you all for sharing it with me.

Of course! Bloodsuckers. I love the overheards :)

I’m so sorry to hear that you lost that job. I’ve never been on that site … but I want you to know that I would have been, 2 years ago, when I was planning my wedding! I admire anyone who has more than one job … outside of the house. Being a Mom is the most time consuming of all. Kudos for doing it all. And getting it right! Notice I didn’t say perfectly … to me, doing it right is showing your boys that you are engaged with them and engaged with the world outside of them. You’ll find another job, outside the home, no doubt.

Per usual, I’m late to the party, but I’m so sorry to hear this. Know that nothing has ever made me want to come to OK with a case of Cabernet more than this. Except for that time the Jonas brothers were there.

(That was supposed to make you smile.)

Thinking of you, sunshine!

You’re fantastic. People can always count on you to be honest and funny, without really trying to be the former.

Thank you for knowing your path and walking it. You’re an inspiration.

Well you are “famous” because you are a kind, generous funny woman who gives fantastic advice and who makes everyone feel special. Because you rock Susan. And that means that you’ll be working on another great site really soon and from the sounds of it, so will the other ladies.

I love little boy conversations!

I LOVED AisleDash, and I’m not even a bride (though I played one 19 years ago). It’s a great loss. I want to tell you that you’ll move on to bigger and better things, but that’s going to sound like I’m missing the point. I’m not and you will… so sorry for your loss.
