I have one last bag of bedtime goodies to give away! Which is a little sad, because it was really fun hearing about your bedtime routines. Especially since we’re in the throes of trying to get back on a School Night Bedtime Schedule, which really really stinks.
A lot.
Comment number 11 was left by Pamela, who is in a place that I was in about three years ago, and I am feeling her pain. Also, I am recommending a little shot of Benadryl at bedtime. Maybe for her, maybe for her daughter — I’m not saying.
That was fun. Thanks for sponsoring this and encouraging me to write about our special moments. But judging from the fact that my toddler has tried to break out of her room twice tonight and our eight month old has needed me to go in and sing Silent Night three times already, I highly doubt what the Good Nights web site says about these being the most treasured times of my life.
I always love when contest winners make me laugh. Congratulations, Pamela! Email me and we’ll get that big bag of bedtime goodness on it’s way to you ASAP. And I’ll tell you what it’s like to have kids who read to themselves! in bed! hooray!
Thanks to everyone who entered, and to the nice people at GoodNites for making this whole thing possible! We’ll do it again soon. Promise.
Disclaimer: I have partnered with GoodNites® for this series of posts; I am being compensated for writing about my family’s bedtime routine and for promoting this contest, not for endorsing a product. Just so we’re all clear.

Oh, I’m so relieved. I didn’t enter because our bedtime moments are so fraught and traumatic that I figured they’d not only NOT win anything, they’d cause people who read about them (uh, you?) to turn away in disgust, thinking things like, “Jesus God, SHE’S a mother? She is clearly not qualified if that is how her children behave.”
So anyway. I feel a little better now. I like the Benadryl idea.
