I left home for college in California then worked and married and stayed a while….but my Californian husband knew this jingle LONG before we ever moved back. It is MANDATORY for all boys/men to know this song!
My family went and visited Bricktown last night, taking a ride on the water taxis. The driver of the taxi had us all sing this jingle. The out-of-state occupants looked at us like we were INSANE:)

As someone who lived in Oklahoma for years and no longer does, thank you. It now feels like Christmas is coming.

Love the water taxi story! I knew the holiday season had truly arrived when all my still-in-Oklahoma FB friends started mentioning “the jingle.”

Thank you, thank you, thank you! This song will forever remind me of my childhood. My sister and I sing it to each other every Christmas.
