ROAD LESS TRAVELED
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth
Then took the other as just as fair
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear
Though as for that, the passing there
Had worn them really about the same
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black

Yet, knowing how way leads onto way
I doubted if I should ever come back
I shall be telling this with a sigh

Today I have been thinking about Frost’s road less traveled, and about how I came to be here, in Oklahoma, yes, but also in this family and this life. And today I am thankful for the road, because without it, I might be somewhere else, which I cannot even imagine, as I tuck my children into their beds and settle in to share the night with my husband.
And I am grateful for the road that brought me here, and for the places it wound through on the way. It has, indeed, made all the difference.
